We are pleased to invite you to the
21stMeeting of the Alpine Ibex European Specialist Group (GSE-AIESG) to
be held in December 2008 in Ceresole Reale, Torino, Italy. This
conference follows the highly successful meetings held in Cogne in 2004
and in Pontresina in 2006. INTRODUCTION
The conference aims to promote
exchange among scientists, experts,
managers and all who are interested in this species The meeting is
co-organized by the Gran Paradiso National Park, and the Alpine Network
of Protected Areas – ALPARC

The scientific programme will include invited lectures, contributed talks and poster sessions. The programme will be tentatively divided into the following sessions: Day

Contributed talks about Status,
Distribution and
Population Ecology
A proceedings volume, with some selected peer reviewed papers, may be published in a special issue of the Journal of Mountain Ecology.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
During the meeting, the official language will be English.
REGISTRATION AND HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
Registration to the meeting is free, but only delegates who registered before the deadline will be allowed to attend. A list of hotels will be provided with the second announcement. SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT
BROCHURE
The second announcement will be forwarded directly to each respondent in November 2008 with details of the programme, registration and accommodation. Persons wishing to receive the Second Announcement Brochure should complete and mail (or e-mail) the REPLY FORM to the Workshop MEETING SECRETARIAT before October 30, 2008. |
